If you are one of the many people growing increasingly concerned with the state of the planet’s health, maybe you should consider what you might be able to do yourself and with your family and friends to help concerve the Earth for as long as possible. There are a number of little things that we can all do, that add up to a big difference over a lifetime. The sooner you start the better, and the more people you can get to join in with these things the better.

First off is addressing the problem of water wastage. By fitting a meter onto your house water supply, you will be able to properly see the amount that your household is using. Simple things like turning the tap off when you are brushing your teeth, and not wasting water by putting half loads in the washing machine can make a big difference over the course of a year. The biggest water waster is the toliet flush. The average toilet uses 6 liters of water for a single flush; by putting a bottle on the cistern tank, this amount can be halved, and the toilet is still just as effective. Replacing daily baths with showers also cuts down the water usage by a huge amount.

Recycling is another thing that not many people do enough of, and it takes no time at all once you get into the routine of doing it. Recycling all of your glass, plastic and metal waste, severely reduces the amount of rubbish in the land fill sites and reduces the amount of new materials needed to be made. Another simple yet obvious one is reducing the amount of car journeys that you and your family make. By sharing cars to work, or school, you can half the amount of journeys needed. It does not take an in depth data management solution to work out how to make a difference to the environment, it just takes a little thought.

Apart from the threat of world war 3 the world is slowly and steadily getting closer to another disaster, which is global warming. Our civilization has not yet seen a natural disaster at a global scale, obviously if we did we would not live to tell or write about it. But archeologists had dug out secrets and horrors that previous civilizations faced when global natural disasters became a reality. One of the most famous of them being the one mentioned in the Bible, when Noah built the ark and the rest of the world sank under water.

As per the Bible sin was the reason for the global wipe out and the disaster was orchestrated by God. I personally believe that everything is in the hand of God and He is the one who controls everything. When we talk about sin we normally think about the seven deadly sins. We might feel that we are not committing any sin, then why would God allow a natural disaster, but among the seven deadly sins one is greed.

I think that greed has created more problems in the world than anything else. It is greed that has led to the over production of products and subsequently wastage. When a finished good is wasted, not only are the ingredient of the product wasted, but also the resources used to finish it are also wasted. This wastage is the reason for considerable amount of energy being wasted in the world. Energy is produced at a cost. As of now most of the energy we use comes from fossil fuel, which means the greatest cost we pay is the life of our planet. Customer data management can be an interesting job; sometimes it allows me to see the overspending people do and also the vast amount of wastage in our store due to products crossing the expiry date.

Siemens, as many of you are familiar, is among the top energy equipment companies. The corporation produces not only technology for the production of electricity, it provides technical support, services production sites and works with governments for improving the energy sustainability in the world in general. However, a new decision by the company, announced earlier this year, has already been ratified by the board of directors. Thus the company, one of the largest corporations in the world, would STOP producing equipment for nuclear power production and would reduce its services related to any activity involving the use of radioactive materials.

The German corporation took this decision as a response to the extreme public unrest that occurred after the disastrous events in Japan during its nuclear crisis in March 2011. The public demanded reduced use of nuclear power and its slow abolition throughout Europe. Thus Belgium became the first country to announce a proper and well established plan on how to that and Siemens became the first corporation that announced it stops the production of nuclear technology. Research of this area would also be non-financed and the company would be investing all capital related to this activity in other research areas - such as water refinement, solar energy production and other renewable sources of energy.

The company would also provide cleaning chemicals for the nuclear power plants as a last service once it stops maintaining such facilities. These would be substances that would be used only in a case of radioactive problems. The company would be reinvesting billions of Euros in rather safer ventures. It is worth mentioning that almost 1/3 of the energy related business by Siemens comes from nuclear energy and abandoning it seems like a serious moves for the company, dedicated to a greener future.
This is definitely one of the most striking actions undertaken by any business institution and it clearly indicates that the process of switching to greener energy has somehow began among large and powerful energy corporations.

Many companies are aiming to deliver the best green solutions to transportation. For example, the UK is proud of its unique red diesel providers that deliver environmentally friendly fuel to consumers (check them out on http://www.crownoiluk.com and discover their great services and products). But it is a surprising move to see a company like Ford that has been always related to automobile production to develop its own, ‘absolutely'green two-wheeler.

We are generally used to seeing Ford as a company that is developing a large variety of automobiles, including hybrid cars that consumer electricity along with the power of their internal combustion engine. But it is surprising seeing Ford developing a concept that would deliver the best environmentally friendly electrical bicycle. However, to some extent it is possible to guess that such a move would have occurred sooner or later from the company - during times when promoting energy efficiency and environmental protection, companies are ready to answer the demand even if this means completely ignoring their initial business objectives.

As for the concept, the modern technology in the development of batteries has proved to be quite successful since the electrical consumption and the storage of energy gave both been quite largely expanded. The concept bike is equipped with pedals that would enhance the generation of power necessary for the movement of the bike. This might also be used as a main energy provider for riding as an ordinary bicycle. The design is extremely simplified in order to provide easier movement without the negative consequences of the grid. It is not yet known what would be the motor within the bike and what would be the internal design and the engineering principles behind the product. Ford are expected to announce further details by the end of the year when the company would be also introducing its views and would post its efforts in environmental protection initiatives.

Ford is among the largest producers of automotive vehicles in the world and generally we associate such companies with large emission quantities simply because their production chains so require. The assembly plants of Ford need vast amount of energy and significant electrical consumption is exercised by each manufacturing center of the company. However, the recent green initiatives of the company in the UK tend to be associated with more socially responsible business activities and a rather remarkable approach to production.

The plans of the company, as displayed by the Wall Street Journal in their Tech Europe’s Blog, are to create a massive wind power plant in their production site in Degenham near London. The company installed two wind turbines near its diesel engine line production building and a third one is currently being installed and put into use b the company. This would further improve the CO2 savings of the company from 2,500 to 5,000 tons per year. Additionally, the production site would require no external energy from electricity suppliers thus relying solely on the production of its own power generators. And just like the solar panels Essex can offer are particularly attractive in its own area, Degenham is windy enough to never let Ford down. This means no emissions from the company in relation to electricity satisfaction would ever be exhausted.

Thus Ford becomes the first major automobile company that is energy independent from electricity suppliers in the UK. A great example of how to cope with global energy demand and how to act socially responsible while developing business solutions in the corporate world.

With no the current focus on building an environmentally friendly vehicles many automakers have put a lot of focus on coming up with new ways to make their vehicle more environmentally sound. Volvo seem to have stumbled onto something they are calling the Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems.

Kinetic Energy Recovery Systems (KERS) were first built for more environmentally-friendly professional race cars. KERS allow a car to recoup and store energy when it brakes, and this energy can be used later. This technology is of interest to consumer car manufacturers, especially those who make high performance hybrid sports cars. Volvo, in particular, is developing KERS for use in its vehicles.

Volvo’s technology is called Flywheel KERS because it is installed on the rear axle, and braking energy is generated and stored in the flywheel as it spins. This energy powers the car during acceleration or cruising, and can offer nearly 20 percent in fuel savings. Volvo’s flywheel energy can give the engine an extra 80 horsepower, too. It am sure many of those in other industries like heavy equipment manufacturing and even commercial cleaning surrey would like to get their hands on the specs of this technology.

Volvo has been developing and testing this technology since the 1980s, using a steel 24 centimeter flywheel. The current system uses a smaller and lighter carbon fiber flywheel that is able to generate much-improved performance.

This flywheel technology is comparatively less expensive than other KERS, and could conceivably be used in more Volvos, allowing more consumers access to the performance and fuel consumption savings hybrids offer. One of the main reasons for the lower cost is the fact that energy does not need to be converted and stored in a pricey battery, but can be stored in the flywheel, and transferred via a variable transmission.

Similar Posts:
Marketing Your Business With Facebook PPC Ads : Chances are if…
Marketing strategy and its requirement : Like the battle…
3 Key Factors Affecting Foreign Rates : 1.

Going Green is often hard to translate. In developed countries people are talking about compact fluorescent light bulbs, in the developing world, there are basic needs that need to be sorted out in an ecological way. Cooking your evening meal is not a simple task if you are living in a place that is under the threat of deforestation. Additionally, women are particularly vulnerable to smoke and eye ailments brought on by smoke from traditional cooking methods.

It is an absolute privilege to be able to travel, and on my recent holiday I was able to visit a project in Africa where local producers were making and distributing rocket stoves. My main task was to distribute some mobile phones to the managers of the factory so that they could take advantage of some special travel roaming fees that we have secured for them, in order to be able to contact various suppliers, sponsors, and distributors in different parts of the country. The work that they were doing was amazing, and was already making a huge difference in people’s lives by cutting their expenditure on charcoal by 70 percent.

The rocket stove movement is a perfect example of using thoughtful technology to combat the current climate chaos. Rocket stoves burn leaves and small twigs. In the UK these can be gathered by something called coppicing. Coppicing is harvesting parts of a tree without actually cutting the tree down. It is a sustainable way of using wood. The stoves can burn waste bio mass of many different types. Field waste is the perfect example, stalks from corn after the ears have been taken, coconut husks broken into small pieces, or simply small bits of dead wood. The stoves are so efficient that the user will be taking less out of the environment to begin with and will not have to inhale the smoke from an open fire. As an organization, rocket stoves makes plans available free of charge to people who want to build them for personal use or even manufacture them. After the initial stove, they have moved on to home heating systems, institutional cookers, food dryers, bread ovens, kilns, and stoves specifically designed to be built and used by refugees with little access to building materials. In the UK they are great for back yard cooking, camping, or for use at an allotment. Remember of course when you are camping to use all natural resources responsibly.

No matter what kind of business you run, you can take effective steps to go green. Operating a green business is not just good for the environment but it is good for the bottom line of your business as well. Going green is becoming so popular that you constantly hear about the latest hybrid cars or latest green technologies. The following ideas are simple and easy to implement in your business.

You can go green by:

1. Turning off equipment when it is not in use: This enables you to reduce energy usage by 25%. If you turn the computers off at the end of the day you will save an additional 50%.

2. Communication by email is a must: Also read the emails on the screen however if it is necessary to print them out then you can do so. You must always try to go paperless as much as you can.

3. Use a fax modem: A modem will allow you to fax documents right from a computer without printing out a hard copy.

4. Use double sized documents when you can.

5. Don’t leave taps dripping: Make sure the taps are closed tightly after they are used.

6. Recycling: Find a paper supplier that uses recycled paper. Also pick suppliers that will take back packaging for reuse.

7. Look for local products: The further your supplies come from the more energy that they use to get to you.

8. Refurbish furniture: Instead of buying new a office furniture, check if you can refurbish the furniture you already have.

You don’t have to do huge things in your business to go green but be active in reducing the carbon footprint of your business.

People always say that one day computers would replace the standard books and that computers would be all be would be concerned about without the warmth of the nice paper sound. However, I agree that online and on-screen reading is the best solution to many problems and no matter what old people with thick glasses are saying about the disadvantages of computers, I would agree - computers are better than books. And all the reasons are those green solutions to small problems but with great influence.

Reason number one - not everyone is recycling. The fliers of Commercial Cleaning Surrey companies might be made out of recycled paper but to be honest I seriously doubt that many people would give away their precious books for recycling. So the outcome is quite clear - we collect tons of paper which costs tons of trees. By the unavailability of recyclable resource, more trees would be cut to fuel paper demand and more degenerative effect would book industry have on out planet.

Second reason is storage - you do not want to recycle, that is fine. So on your computer you have nothing to recycle and only the ability to store. Store your books, documents, different files on flash drives, hard drives, CDs, memory cards and whatever other device and you will have these files and documents and books for as long as you wish. No-one would tell you to recycle and no-one would advertise silly green birds on your book. So again the outcome is - a greener world with less trees cut for paper production.

Finally - energy demand. A computer would exhaust energy at the same level no matter how many books it has on it. However, each book costs money - energy, electricity, transportation expenses for fuels, man labor (most commonly fishy labor when it comes to paper production) and so on. This costs money, the fuel and energy demand for such production take valuable resource and the man labor is grossly underestimated when it comes to this area. So the conclusion once again - electronic books save not only the trees but the environment as a whole, cost less energy and demand no unlawful labor.

Everybody thinks about eco-friendly power and most folks are all for it (exceptions might be based on oil pursuits). Most people are aware that oil dependent power pollutes and no one in their right mind desires this, but what other options are available?

Typically the inference here is that what ever power alternative is utilized, it must be replenishable (meaning it is inexhaustible and doesn’t run out). They are never harmful to our environmental surroundings and tend not to be dependent on fossil fuels (which do pollute and eventually run out).

Wind Farms: As a way of generating power, wind is nothing brand new as we have already been utilizing it for hundreds of years if not longer. They’re built in places which receive a large amount of continuous wind; this consequently restricts appropriate locations along cliffs, hills or seashores. During the last few years numerous offshore areas have also been created. Regarding residential use you will find that you can obtain small wind driven generators that happen to be well worth checking out - if you can get them the required wind.

Solar energy: Obtaining as well as harnessing power coming from sunshine is the foundation of this choice. You will find 2 main kinds of solar power. The first is to generate heat. A perfect example of this is solar panels utilized to heat pools. One other is solar power panels made to produce electrical energy. Electrical power generation is precisely what most people think about while talking about solar power. Solar photovoltaic panels are utilized to catch and change the sunlight into direct electric energy. Typically the electrical power which is generated by the solar power panels then has to be kept within special battery systems. Solar power seems to be at a fascinating growth phase both from the perspective of use (individual as well as commercial) and due to the investment and research which is taking place.

Another great idea is hybrid vehicles to save on fuel and avoid air pollution.
